Joyce Woollcott was born in Northern Ireland and moved to Toronto after graduating from the Belfast College of Art and Design. She worked at CTV Television as a Director of Design, finally leaving to properly enjoy her love of writing, painting and travelling. Right away, she took the Humber School for Writer’s workshop at Humber with American novelist Richard Bausch. Later that year she signed up for the post-grad mentorship year with Robert Rotenberg. She passed this course with a Letter of Distinction. She continues to take courses and work on her first novel Abduction.
