John Worsley Simpson, 1944 -2022

John Worsley Simpson is the author of five crime fiction novels, four of which were published by Mercury Press, Toronto. The fifth was published in print through Amazon CreateSpace and electronically on numerous platforms, including Kindle and Kobo. Simpson's first novel was runner-up to Kathy Reichs's Deja Dead as best first novel in the Crime Writers of Canada Arthur Ellis Awards for 1997.

John served on the CWC Board of Directors and a great support to CWC and the Toronto/SW Region. Says Board Chair, Judy Penz Sheluk, "he was a loyal friend who always had my back. He even agreed to be Treasurer for CWC in a pinch, knowing CWC needed someone, even though he couldn’t open an Excel spreadsheet."
