Hope Thompson
A graduate of UBC’s Creative Writing MFA, Hope writes for stage and screen. She has written numerous queer-crime plays including Trapped! (Published in Playwrights Canada Press anthology ‘Queer/Play’) and Stiff, which was produced in Toronto and Los Angeles (Published in the collection ‘PL.A.YNoir 2013’ and in the anthology ‘PL.A.YNoir’). She was a contributing writer on CBC’s Baroness Von Sketch Show. And in 2019, she wrote and performed her one-woman show, The Talking Grave—a séance and interview with deceased crime writer, Cornell Woolrich. The co-host of Toronto’s longest running crime fiction reading series, Noir At The Bar, Hope has several new projects in development.
