Giles Blunt grew up in North Bay, Ontario. After studying English literature at the University of Toronto, he moved to New York City, where he lived for the next 20 years, before moving back to Toronto in 2002. His John Cardinal series, set in northern Ontario, includes Forty Words for Sorrow and By the Time You Read This, among others. Other fiction includes Cold Eye, Breaking Lorca, and No Such Creature, which was hailed by the Globe and Mail as “a wonderful tale from a master storyteller.”
