The suspicious death of a witness forces Desi Summers to insert herself, again, into one of Detective Carlos Mendez’s investigations. Desi’s unorthodox efforts both advance and compromise the search for the killer. Desi’s participation becomes a problem when the evidence points to the possible involvement of someone from her main client, the Regulatory Board of Teachers.
