On the morning with a hint of spring in the air, the body of a young woman is found trapped in the ice of Cootes Paradise. The next day at Gage Park, a homeless man spots someone abandoning what looks like a bundle of garbage, then realizes the bundle is a man gagged and duct-taped, rigged to blow.
